Ari Atoll
and its magic

The atoll of Ari, with its 80 islands that extend in an area of 96 km in length and 33 km in width, is the second atoll of the Maldives for tourist expansion. Administratively divided into two parts: the northern zone (alifu alifu) and the southern zone (alifu dhaalu), the atoll is 65 km from the capital Male and can be reached either by seaplane or by fast boat. Famous in the world for its white and pristine beaches, the Ari atoll has become, over time, a real paradise for lovers of scuba diving: sightings of whale and hammerhead sharks as well as all the fauna that populates the coral reefs surrounding the lagoon all around are in fact frequent.

NAKAI RESORTS world

The NAKAI Group has been operating in the Maldives for over twenty years. The resorts of Alimathà, Dhiggiri, Velifushi by Cinnamon (atoll of Vaavu), and that of Maayafushi (atoll of North Ari), rise on the four splendid islands of the same name, still cared today with the same love and passion.

NAKAI DHIGGIRI RESORT

Dhiggiri is an island of about three hectares located in the silent and fascinating atoll of Vaavu. Completely renovated in 2016, the resort has been reborn with a new look, but still rests its foundations on the structure and values that have characterized its management over the years.

NAKAI ALIMATHÁ RESORT

The word Alimathà originally meant “woman’s face”. The island, seen from above, today has a shape reminiscent of a heart, and has a beach of fine white sand that goes to soak in the waters of the Maldives. It is surrounded by a beautiful and colorful coral reef inhabited by hundreds of species of fishes.

NAKAI VELIFUSHI RESORT

Velifushi is a very young island recently opened that measures just over four hectares and is positioned in the southern part of the Vaavu atoll. Being part of a group of five islands that fan out into the heart of the atoll, Velifushi by Cinnamon is the latest jewel of the NAKAI Group and will leave you speechless.
